Dermalogica Skincare – First Reaction
I came across Dermalogica via a Kandee Johnson recommendation. I have been using the following skincare trial kit. I received it 5 days ago and began my trial. The Wash Off, Ready Set Scrub, and Bedtime for Breakouts all seem to work really well. The one I dislike is Welcome Matte spf 15. The first day I used Welcome Matte, all I could smell was the spf in it. I smelled like I had slathered my face in sunblock. ICK! Within an hour I was a shiny and quite disappointed. Keep in mind I had applied it to fresh clean skin. Luckily this is a trial set and I will not re-purchase that particular item.
The favorite of the bunch was Ready, Set, Scrub! After cleansing your face, you apply a thin layer of product on your face. You let it set for 5-7 minutes, then gently massage into your skin and rinse. This scrub left my skin feeling baby soft and super clean. I truly enjoyed the feeling. I will continue to use and report back results.
Wet n Wild
There seems to be quite a buzz about this brand of cosmetics here lately. After reading some trustworthy reviews I decided to give it a re-try. I stopped at my local Walgreens and purchased 2 of the Color Icon palettes and a few items that were part of the $0.99 trial. The color payoff is great and the formula is long lasting if using a lid primer. The drawback is the shadows are very soft and are susceptible to breaking/cracking if the palette is dropped. I saw quite a few broken shadows at the WnW display, so I knew in advance to be careful with my purchase. They are very reasonably priced at $4.99 for the Color Icon palette which contains 8 shadows. I purchased the “Comfort Zone” and “Petal Pusher” palettes. Check out the slideshow below for photos.
